> in the Press - "Ideal Homes" magazine - May

Our "Fluoro Dandelions" Giant Wall Stickers are in May's issue of Ideal Homes magazine. Mark and Ruth Smith bought a set (via NOTHS) and decorated the walls in their children's bedroom with them.

The house has been designed and decorated as a holiday cottage, and, located in Cornwall, it looks lovely.

> Dragonflies and Cowparsley mural

The weather may not be looking good for the weekend... but some of the first Cowparsley flowers are pushing their way up through the hedgerows... and it is a glorious signpost that Spring and 'hopefully' warmer, sunnier weather is on its way!

Here's our "Dragonflies and Cowparsley" mural, in crisp white and zingy lime green on stormy grey... rather apt at the moment!

Thanks very much to Junior Magazine for using our "Colour Wheel" clock on their Interiors page in the May issue, describing it as "clever as well as stylish"!

> feels summery today...

thinking about the summer... can't wait for those long, balmy days, warm sunshine, insects buzzing busily around, the scent of flowers and freshly cut grass.... mmm! All captured beautifully in our "Lost Garden" WallScene wallpaper in summer blue.

> in the press - Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine

We've had some lovely Press just recently - here's our "Dandelion Fields" WallScene wallpaper in Kitchen, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine (May issue) on two spreads, thanks to our friends at NOTHS.

Dandelion Fields is just gorgeous; a really soft, subtle warm grey background with a multitude of dandelions, butterflies, dragonflies and little birds resting on the seedheads.

> Easter Break in glorious Sussex

We've just returned from a quick Easter Break... to the gorgeous country of Sussex. I was born just outside Chichester and spent many happy years there. We took our daughter to my favourite childhood haunts, including bluebell woods in Northchapel, the beautiful town of Petworth, Bignor Roman Villa, Arundel Castle and the seafront at Pagham Beach. Happy memories....

> Union Jack Big Ben - new product launch

We are really proud to launch today, the latest in the design collection of our hugely popular Big Ben wall clocks... the Union Jack Big Ben.

Big Ben, a classic British icon of time, is now created with an uber cool antique distressed Union Jack flag finish! And it looks absolutely stunning!

The Union Jack Big Ben tower stands 2 metres tall with all windows cut out. The powder coated steel distressed clock face has black metal hands and an ultra quiet German 'ticking' quartz movement. It is easily attached to the wall... and we even include the battery!

Brit-cool doesn't get any better!

Available from our webshop today.

> gorgeous Woodland Friends WallScene wallpaper...

is proving very popular at the moment! Especially in the Citrus colour. Must be something about this lovely Spring weather... that some of us are having! There are white and brown trees and some have a soft wooden texture printed on them. Woodland creatures scurry around in the undergrowth with their babies, and others are busy nesting or falling in love while flowers are starting to unfurl and welcome  in the spring. Sweet!

Looks absolutely great with a Vitra Eames DSW chair too!

This is going on our daughter's bedroom next week. She has finally chosen this design after pleading to have ALL of our wallpapers in her room! We will post the results when her room is completed.

> a nod to the NUD light

I love these images - how NUD lights can easily transform a space with their bright and colourful cords in both children's and grown up rooms. The Nud lights, with their mouthwatering array of coloured cords, are designed to hang loosely and add some industrial chic and drama to any interior. We can get so fixated in ensuring all ugly electrical wires are firmly buried into walls, but there is nothing ugly about these lights. Their very simplicity and sublime elegance demand that they be seen... and in as many colours and combinations as you can possibly manage.

In children's interiors, hang them long and low to give abundant task lighting and in grown up rooms, dangle them over the dining table, drape them across the ceiling, hang them either side of the bed - use your imagination and have fun with them.

They are also coming soon to our webshop so keep an eye out for them.

> decorating with pinks and soft grey

It's decorating time! We are going brush and wallpaper crazy in our house at the moment... and it feels wonderful. I love seeing the transformation and how different colours create dramatically different looks. Our daughter's room is being totally transformed and our bedroom is having a deep, near black focal wall!!!! (see www.collissandquinton.com blog for this one!).

I have created a mood board here to show a gorgeous pink and contemporary soft grey interior for a project we are working on at the moment. A delightfully fun, happy palette of colours... and just gorgeous for girly girls!

The scheme is built around our brand new ‘White Dandelions and Cowparsley’ Giant Wall Stickers - perfect for a fresh Spring interior. Cornforth White (Farrow & Ball no. 228) provides the gentle, warm grey background paint colour with Dulux's Flamingo Fun 1 neon pink and Flamingo Fun 5 bubblegum pink used as stunning accents. White furniture tempers the mood of the scheme and keeps it fresh, clean and modern. A frilly Normann Copenhagen Norm 03 Lightshade looks fabulous and casts the most wonderful light pattern on a ceiling. Choose a bright pink cord lighting cable from NUD to anchor some pink to the ceiling. Our 'Birdie Tree' art print in hot pink will look lovely against the grey walls and Panton Junior chair looks utterly fantastic in any modern interior (we have used this chair in all of our kids interior schemes to date!) This white rabbit lamp is just so sweet and our Flamingoes cushion finishes off the scheme with a final blast of dazzling pink!

And, if hot pink really grabs you, let your little one take it to the streets with the fluoro satchel... and spread the word!
