> Modern Art, Oxford - Haegue Yang

We were invited to the opening of the "Teacher of Dance" exhibition by Haegue Yang at Modern Art, Oxford on Friday.

Taking conventional household materials such as lighting cables and bulbs, infrared heaters, and drying racks, she wraps them in fabric and knitted materials in the most incredible palette of colours and textures. Her Venetian blind installation, suspended in one of the rooms was a mesmerising play on colour, texture, form and visual distortion... incredibly inspirational!

The exhibition is on until 4 September. Modern Art Oxford, 30 Pembroke Street, Oxford OX1 1BP. Tel: 01865 722 733.

Thanks to Mike and Carrie for inviting us.

NB: Images of the two installations above, are from previous shows.
