> decorating with pinks and soft grey

It's decorating time! We are going brush and wallpaper crazy in our house at the moment... and it feels wonderful. I love seeing the transformation and how different colours create dramatically different looks. Our daughter's room is being totally transformed and our bedroom is having a deep, near black focal wall!!!! (see www.collissandquinton.com blog for this one!).

I have created a mood board here to show a gorgeous pink and contemporary soft grey interior for a project we are working on at the moment. A delightfully fun, happy palette of colours... and just gorgeous for girly girls!

The scheme is built around our brand new ‘White Dandelions and Cowparsley’ Giant Wall Stickers - perfect for a fresh Spring interior. Cornforth White (Farrow & Ball no. 228) provides the gentle, warm grey background paint colour with Dulux's Flamingo Fun 1 neon pink and Flamingo Fun 5 bubblegum pink used as stunning accents. White furniture tempers the mood of the scheme and keeps it fresh, clean and modern. A frilly Normann Copenhagen Norm 03 Lightshade looks fabulous and casts the most wonderful light pattern on a ceiling. Choose a bright pink cord lighting cable from NUD to anchor some pink to the ceiling. Our 'Birdie Tree' art print in hot pink will look lovely against the grey walls and Panton Junior chair looks utterly fantastic in any modern interior (we have used this chair in all of our kids interior schemes to date!) This white rabbit lamp is just so sweet and our Flamingoes cushion finishes off the scheme with a final blast of dazzling pink!

And, if hot pink really grabs you, let your little one take it to the streets with the fluoro satchel... and spread the word!
